Automatic gear position introduction

The general automatic transmission gearbox has P, R, N, D, 3, 2, 1 gears:

1.P parking stall. When the car is parked, the selector lever must be pulled into the P position.

2.R reverse gear.

3.N neutral. The N position is equivalent to neutral and can be used at start-up or at the time of the trailer.

4.D forward gear. When the vehicle is in normal driving, the selector lever is placed in the D position, and the car can automatically shift between 1 to 3 or 4 and 5 positions. The D file is the most commonly used gear.

5.3 is also the forward gear. Under this gear, the gearbox automatically switches between 1-3 gears and will not enter the 4th and 5th gears. 2 means 1 or 2 gears. When this gear is used, it is used for starting on wet road, or as a limit gear when moving forward slowly. 1 is 1 gear. When this gear is used, the gearbox is in the first gear. Some cars have S or L gears.

6.S sport mode (sport) In this gear, the gearbox can be freely shifted, but the opportunity is delayed when shifting, so that the engine stays at high speed for a long time, which makes the vehicle power increase.

7.L low gear. In this gear, the gearbox will remain in the first gear without upshifting and can be used in ramps and the like. There is also a certain braking function when going downhill. Some cars have a D2 gear, called a low-speed forward gear, for bad roads or off-road. There is also a snow button on the gearbox, OD OFF button and so on.

8 .Snowflake button means to start on wet road. When this button is pressed, the vehicle will not start from 1st gear, but start from 2nd gear to reduce the torque output and avoid the vehicle slipping when starting on wet road.

The 9OD OFF button indicates that the highest gear is prohibited. Vehicles with this button often do not have D3, because pressing the button (4th gearbox) 4th gear has been banned, which is equivalent to D3.
