Abrasive classification

1. According to the scope of use

(1) Ordinary abrasives are mainly used to control the lacquer defects such as oxidation, scratches and fading of ordinary paints.

Abrasives are generally solid rock, not suitable for the grinding of clear paint.

(2) General purpose abrasive

It can be used for both ordinary paints and clear paints. The abrasives in the abrasives are microcrystalline particles and synthetic abrasives, which have certain cutting ability, but are not as hard as floating rock.

2. According to the cutting method

(1) Physical cutting method

There are floating rock type and clay type abrasives.

Main features: hard abrasive, fast cutting speed, but the particle volume will not change due to the cutting speed during the operation. If the operator does not understand the thickness of the paint film, the method is not proficient, it is easy to wear through the paint layer, so only Suitable for use by highly skilled professionals.

(2) Chemical cutting method.

There is a microcrystalline abrasive,

main feature:

The microcrystalline particles can be gradually decomposed by the heat generated by the friction, and the volume thereof is gradually reduced during the operation, the extremely high temperature is generated to remove the oxide layer, and the convex portion of the surface paint layer is dissolved, and the pinhole of the concave portion is filled.

(3) Multiple cutting methods

Mainly neutral abrasives.

The neutral abrasive contains two kinds of cutting materials, clay and micro crystal, which have both physical cutting and chemical dissolution filling functions.

Neutral abrasive is suitable for all kinds of automotive paints, and it is easy to operate, fast and has low grinding power. It is the best lacquer care abrasive material on the market.
