Acid battery charging method
First charge. New or long-term stock batteries must be subjected to initial discharge before use. The steps are as follows:
1 Unscrew the water cap first, and remove the seal that covers the small hole to make the air clear.
2 Add the prepared electrolyte, the density is 1.285 (note that when preparing the electrolyte, the sulfuric acid should be slowly injected into the distilled water), and added to the separator 10~15mm.
3 After the electrolyte is added, the battery can be placed for 2 to 3 hours to connect the positive and negative terminals of the battery to the positive and negative terminals of the power supply, ready for discharge.
4 The initial charge is performed according to the current and time specified in Table 2-59. The first stage current charging causes the terminal voltage of each small battery to rise to 2.4V, and then uses the second stage current charging until the voltage and electrolyte ratios do not substantially change within 3 hours.
