Birth of George Alexander Louis

George Alexander Louis (July 22, 2013) is the eldest son of Prince William of Cambridge and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, and the third heir to the British throne.

At 6 o'clock in the UK local time on July 22, 2013 (at 13:00 Beijing time), Kate Middleton entered the St. Mary's Hospital in London for production. At 4:24 pm (23:24 Beijing time), George Alexander Louis was born at St. Mary's Hospital in London. He was the first child of Prince William of Cambridge and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, and the third heir to the British throne after Prince Charles of Wales and Prince William of Cambridge. This is the first time in more than 100 years that the British royal family has appeared as a monarch and quasi-junior.

When George was born, he weighed 8 pounds and 6 ounces (about 3.8 kilograms), the heaviest British heir to the birth of the 100 years. To celebrate the birth of the little prince, on July 23, the British royal family artillery regiment fired a 41-gun salute in London Hyde Park, and the honorary artillery fired 62 fires at the Tower of London. Nearly forty landmarks across New Zealand have also illuminated the blue light for the little prince.
