Introduction to Solar System Stability
Solar system stability is a hot topic in astronomy. Although almost all predictions indicate that in the next billions of years, no planets will collide with each other or leave the solar system and the earth is relatively stable, but the solar system is indeed a chaotic system.
Since Newton proposed the law of gravitation in 1687, mathematicians and astronomers have found some evidence about the stable motion of planets. These explorations have led to the development of many mathematics, several of which have continuously "proved" the stability of the solar system.
