Machining accuracy

Machining accuracy refers to the degree to which the actual geometric parameters of the workpiece after machining are in accordance with the ideal values specified in the part drawing. The degree of inconsistency between them is called the machining error.

Machining accuracy refers to the degree to which the actual geometric parameters of the workpiece after machining are in accordance with the ideal values specified in the part drawing. The degree of inconsistency between them is called the machining error.

Processing accuracy includes three aspects:

1. Dimensional accuracy, limiting the dimensional error between the machined surface and its reference datum does not exceed a certain range.

2. Geometric accuracy, limiting macroscopic geometric errors of the machined surface, such as roundness, cylindricity, straightness and flatness.

3. Mutual positional accuracy, limiting the mutual position error between the machined surface and its reference, such as parallelism, verticality and coaxiality.
