New Santa Fe test drive experience

The new Shengda uses Hyundai's latest "Storm Edge" design language, with two exquisite headlights on either side of the iconic hexagonal grille, which is easily reminiscent of Genesis Coupe and Veloster. Sporty temperament. The two large fog lights on the sides of the front bumper also lifted the entire front face. As a short-wheelbase version, the proportion of the side of the domestic Shengda is more coordinated. The only regret is that the rear window is not as large as the long-wheelbase version. As the finishing line of the side is compact, the taillights of the new Shengda are full of aggressiveness, and at the same time, the whole model is completely free from the stereotypes of the previous two generations.

Although the wheelbase is divided into two versions, the application of the new Storm Edge design language makes the new generation of Shengda look a lot smaller, but after comparing the data, I was surprised to find that today we test drive the new Beijing Hyundai Shengda not only has the same wheelbase of 2700 mm as the previous model.

And its length and width are similar to the previous generation, but the height of the car is about 50 mm lower.

The new second-row seats can be slid and folded with one button, and each seat can be moved back and forth individually. The backrest angle of the second row of seats can also be adjusted. The rear passengers want to find the right sitting position. It is no longer a luxury.

In addition to the new design, the new Shengda also has a new power system, the original V6 flagship replaced by a smaller and more compact but more powerful 2.0-liter direct-injection turbocharged engine, its maximum power and torque It reached 245 horsepower and 350 Nm respectively. The entry-level model still uses the old 2.4-liter naturally aspirated engine, but with the help of direct fuel injection technology, its power has also increased. The maximum power has reached 189 horsepower, and the peak torque has also increased to 240 Nm. Also upgraded is the transmission, the six-speed automatic transmission has become the standard configuration of Beijing Hyundai's new Shengda.

The new Shengda is the first model in Beijing Hyundai with a 2.0-liter supercharged engine. This supercharged engine uses a single-turbo twin-vortex technology to increase power output more effectively, while the direct fuel injection technology gives new wins. Tat has better fuel economy. This is a very standard direct-injection turbocharged engine with a maximum torque of 350 Nm at a speed of 1750 rpm. The turbine is intervened very early and timely, if not for rapid acceleration or large Uphill, there is no obvious turbine delay when accelerating.
