VTEC system structure
The VTEC control system consists of a control section, an execution section and a sensor. The control part includes an engine control unit ECU and a VTEC solenoid valve; the execution part includes a cam, a rocker arm, and each piston, etc.; the sensor includes an engine speed sensor, a vehicle speed sensor, and a coolant temperature sensor. When the engine is running, the control unit ECU determines whether it is necessary to change the valve timing and the valve lift based on the signals of the respective sensors.
